We are undertaking a major programme of work to transform the existing City Museum and Art Gallery, Central Library and St Luke’s Church buildings into a new, unique visitor attraction.
The Plymouth History Centre (working title) is expected to open as the flagship building for our Mayflower 400 commemorations in 2020. It’s a partnership between Plymouth City Council, Plymouth University, the South West Film and Television Archive, South West Image Bank and Devonport Naval Heritage Centre.
While building, construction and fit out work is taking place in site the Museum in taking its exhibitions, events, partnership initiatives and community projects ‘On Tour’.
